Precision Turbo for B16a2 with Drag III! which one?
I have a 00Civic SI (b16a2) with a Drag III kit and once i put my 8.8:1 JE pistions the turbo spools late as hell... full boost is at 4400rpm if not more on 8.5-8.8psi. My question is i still have the POS Turbonetics t3/t4b turbo and i want to get a Precision turbo. But i want to let it to your guys opinion on which one. cuz i dont know which will bolt-on and i dont know anything on a/r or trim. All i want is a turbo that will spool fast and give me pretty good top-end... im going back to the dyno for 11psi... cuz i was VERY dissappointed in my dyno numbers!!!
Thanks Guys!
Thanks Guys!

Put a thinner headgasket on to bump up compression. You'll be happier. Jeez 8.8:1 on a b16 must be boring as hell under vacuum.

Ther is a HUGE difference in the SC50 and SC52. The SC52 is 60-1 turbo with a T3 large .76 trim turbine. Who ever put you in that turbo sold you the wrong turbo for that car. You cant simply look at what HP the turbo puts out and expect it to perform well. I keep trying to tell people that but they never listen.

My sc52 turbo is perfect for my car, i love it. I don't mind the lag because the topend is worth it. Arturbo You know nothing about my setup and the person who got me this turbo is mike from motormatrix.com. This turbo was suggested to me by frank at sfp. You want to argue with two people who have 600+whp cars? I am just saying that if the sc50 (which i don't know **** about) is anything like my sc52 than is not gonna spool as fast as the t3/t04b mentioned above.
just looked at precisions webpage and the sc50 with .48 rear would be perfect for quick spool.

No, the SC60 is a 60-1 compressor wheel (T04B 60 trim)
SC44 is the T04E 60 trim.
Yes, that is the right turbo. SC50 with a 63AR 76Trim turbine.

A SC52 is what you want them. A SC52 has a T350 .76 trim(stage 5 wheel), and a T04B 60-1 compressor wheel.
