I know that some of you already posted to help me. If you still feel the same way about the turbo you picked please let me know. I know I changed a few things around since i posted last including the hondata and 720cc's.
If you need to know anything else to better help me out with my decision, please let me know.
Thanks

1st post, cut me some slack!!! I run the SC60 (.63 a/r stage3 turbine, .60 a/r 60-1 comp side) on my GSR. Spool up time is pretty good and its a power rush from about 4500rpm and on!
Full boost by 3500 would be "pretty quick" IMO. 4500 might not be bad but it's not quick.
I admit I don't know a whole lot about picking the right turbo, but Art recommended the SC34 for what I want to do.
Too many people buy too big of a turbo I think. All they look at is the big HP numbers. It's kind of like putting a tunnel ram and dual 850 double pumpers on a street driven 302.

I agree with you 100%.
I'm looking to replace my current turbo and am shooting for full boost at 3500rpms and about 280-320hp at 10-12psi. I'm thinking the SC50, SC32 or SC34, but not sure which one. Also, I'm not sure which A/R for the turbine. My car is street driven and I'm not after peak hp, but rather fattening up 'area under the curve'. I want power sooner. Right now i'm leaning towards the SC32 with .63 A/R. Any comments?

He told me the same thing. Some thing about how the diameter of the inducer is different causes the map to wierd....
It would be great if Art could post the actual SC32 map!!!

If a turbo maxes out at say 450 hp. Is is most efficient up to that point or would it be more efficient at say 50-75 hp below that number? Or does it depend turbo to turbo?
I was told that the HP # was it's rated crank capacity. However, they do underate the turbos HP capacity, so I would think it could handle at least 400WHP.
you can see the maps at http://www.turboneticsinc.com . Since everyone one uses the same wheels you can kind of get an idea of how it might work.
cool thanks Art!
Can you go a little indepth to why the SC32 map is "weird"...? And explain a little bit to what that means in terms of spool up, boost capability, efficency, so on.....? Basically, what makes it less desireable compared to the other SC turbos....?
Thank man!

I've tried to learn a bit about compressor maps and from what people have said and what i think I think i know about compressor maps, the SC50 50 trim and the SC34 57 trim would be best for efficiency. Is it best to be at the top of the ovals or in the middle? And what do the curved lines going horizotally mean? Thanks for the posts. COrey

I would call Rod at Precision. He is the coolest guy and will answer any questions honestly. I just ordered my TE64 today from them and i have dealt with Majestic for years.
