Placebo effect, nothing more.

I'm surprised 8th gen cicvic guys are praising like that. Based upon the oiling issues they had before.

They actually changed the shaft in the center section to make it lighter but more durable. It is actually a better turbo than the previous precisions. My tuner told me this, and I believe him has has used precision old and new all plenty of 1000+hp builds and swears by the new precisions.

I don't believe at this point the 6768 is using a cea turbine yet. So it's still the same but called a cea. Damn, and I thought that I think to much on this stuff.

Its possible the shaft is new and better, but unless the weight is significantly reduced you wont see a real drop in spool time.

You are correct, they still use the old turbine wheel in the 6768.

I'm pretty sure the shaft is significantly lighter, I don't have numbers on hand, but I could probably find them.

The shaft is technically "lighter" because of all the material they removed at the center hob of the turbine wheel itself. That's why you see a difference from the older model. But there can be drawbacks from removing too much material at the hub, which is hub fracture at 1600* temps mixed with 180,000rpm+speeds. But, what do I know....
