Default Power problems

I am running a fully built h22a4. Ported head, pistons, rods, etc.

Turbo charged with a turbonetics kit, I am running the kit piping (2" to fmic, 2.5" to tb) The wg is also routed back into the dp, at about a 40 degree angle approx. 12" away from the turbine.

My understanding is that this kit should be fine running at about 8-9 psi without any issues on a stock block.

My question: Is it possible that the wg dump is causing huge amounts of turbulence in the downpipe? i.e. enough to cutoff power (about 150 hp) entirely after the vtec engages.

i doubt the dump tube is killing the power being that far away. Didn't you say in your other post the motor cracked sleeves? Is this a new motor i'm assuming? Any new dyno graphs with the new motor?

Nope same problem. But I do not believe that the cracked sleeves are the cause of the loss in power. It only happened lately. My curiousity was if that there could be a huge increase in back pressure between a built motor and a stock one.

huh? you have cracked sleeves, and you think it might be something else that's killing your power?

This has been happening since the first time I got it tuned. The block wasn't burning coolant until after a 3rd tune.

what exactly is happening? what are the symptoms when you're driving it? what were they like before your sleeves cracked, and after?

After ~4500 rpms, she stopped pulling hard. You could feel it let up. There was no power after full boost was reached.

Wait are the sleeves cracked or not the crack can be getting worse and if you are driving the car on cracked sleeves I am surprised the thing hasnt totally let loose yet?

It's like this.

I had this car running before, had it tuned 3 times. Even after the 3rd tune, she still wasn't making any top end at all. About a month following the 3rd tune, it was just another day, and she started to burn coolant. It was then that I took the head off and found what I found. She has not been running since. I am currently getting the work done. I am asking now hoping that someone may have had a solution for when I get it running again.

What kind of wastegate were you running? I would check it and and see if there's anything up with it, and even try a different one.

I'm guessing the tuner didn't say anything about it not getting enough fuel. What's your fuel setup?

I have heard that plumbing the wastegate back to the exhaust can help with the scavanging effect, and make more power. Not sure how far away it needs to be though.

In the tune, you can see the fuel maps have less fuel near the higher end (5600-7500 rpm), although the afr was still good around 12.3.

I'm running a tial 38mm .6 bar spring wastegate.
