power potential of GT28R
sorry for the n00b Q, turbos aint my thang .
i have been told ~300whp would really be pushing the turbo pretty close to limit
looks to be a b18c stock bottom with b16 head (9.8:1)
stock block stock bottom what kinda HP should i see from this??

Re: power potential of GT28R (DefiantGSR)
that guy is comparing a lovefab manifold against a inline pro SS log style??
i hate to say it but isint that ~30-40whp differen ce just by swapping the manifolds??
im still a little lost, but the GT28 is startingto look like it will meet and exceed my expectations in power dept, but is there possibly anything that might spool a little faster but still retain the top end?

Re: power potential of GT28R (johnzm)
The GT28R is available with 2 turbine/wheel combos. The smaller of the two is a .64 a/r housing with a 62 trim wheel. That is the standard config when you buy a new one.
The Nissan Pulsar (Sunny) GTi-R came with a larger variant of this turbo that uses a .86 a/r housing and a 76 (?) trim wheel.
If you don't meet your power goals with the smaller housing, you can step up to the larger one.
I talked to a reputable Nissan tuner before I bought my GT28R and he said that on an SR20, he's seen the standard housing make 275 whp and the larger one make 325 whp.
