how did you achieve this? with a btm or ........? the reason i ask is because i want to know if there is a free way to retard the ignition so i dont have to spend $ on a btm.

mine is set at .70deg per psi and i start retarding at 5 psi (that whit 9:1 compression and 94 octane rating)
if i had higher compression like 10:1 i would start retarding at 1 psi
also depend on what octane rating your using
so becareful every setup is different
good luck

I thought with the PMS timing changes were in 1 degree increments.

Its kinda hard to give an exact number, because each motor is gonna run different stock timing at WOT.

I usually go by .7 degree of retard per psi.

I usually start out with about 32 total(12 initial). I then taper it down 1 degree per psi boost starting at 7 psi...until I reach 20 total(so I pull out 12 total at any boost above 19psi). If you are going to go above 25psi, 18 or 19 total may be best to be on the conservative side.

Hope that gives you a good baseline to start from...

Dave

i assume you cant afford hondata but I would still highly reccomend picking up the BTM, some people have no trouble living without it, but its not worth the gamble IMO
