figured i'd try for somethign else, POST PICS OF YOUR WELDS EVERYONE !!! mig, TIg, stick, whatever, !! i wanna see your skills and maybe pick at your minds on info and skills etcc
hehe.... they're ok, but ive seen better. the machine was an old skool miller synchrowave. it was huge. my new welder is a maxstar 200sd....u should see how it welds! and its only 35lbs! why not post pics of MIG beads? i barely started trying to MIG...i'll post some pics later. IMO MIG is more fun than TIG, except when ur upside down and the sparks fall on ur head or in ur gloves

No doubt...I'm just plain scared to weld under the car, not to mention I weld 200% worse upside down.
here's some of mine, hard to see but these were actually two of my best welds:
Where the flex is welded and also where the long piece is welded were done by me and my Craftsman MIG. The rest is all Tony the Tig from Jotech.

Well, I'm not even going to try to compete... well they're not my welds anyway. Anyway, this is my dad's welder (millermatic 175 mig) and my friend Stefan pretty much doing a real project for the first time. I think he did an awesome job for the limited amount of experience / practice:
On a different note, I've been bitten by the welding bug too and I think I want to purchase a welder in the near future and I dont' want to half *** it. I've had my eyes on the Invertig 200 ac/dc - http://www.usaweld.com/product_page/...er/tig200.html - does anyone have anything good or bad to say about this? ANything else comparable in the same price range?
Thanks....

Wow, you guys all own me. I've got a puny little wire feed gasless "mig" (if you want to call it that...)
Here's the intake from my Compressor that I did last weekend:
And yes, gasless is ugly as crap - but it holds

hey javier, nice welds. any tips you can share with us on how to get it so clean? looks like you didn't use a lot of rod on that down pipe? it looks as good as a hytech weld.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the lack of AC eliminates using this welder for aluminum?
Also, anyone have any experience with the ESAB Heliarc 161 - http://www.esabonline.com/ESAB/showd...D=2704&CATID=9 . Lesser known brand I know, and have read mixed reviews about it, but at the light duty cycle it would see from me coupled with it being about $1500 - $2000 less than comparable millers or lincolns it seems fairly attractive.
thanks all...

I wish I had $2000.00 for a nice TIG machine.
All I've got is an Oxy Acetelyne rig in my garage. Though, I can do some decent welds with it.

Here are a few of a downpipe i made for Falcon GSR. Never mind the rust on the pipe because he didn't paint it like i told him to

I've got some more pics of a couple stainless exhausts I just finished, but they're still on the digital camera.
