Possibility of using a Volvo INtercooler for Turbo Project
Like the title says,
I just picked up an intercooler out of a volvo 740 (may go back and get the turbo as well).
It does have plastic endtanks, but I believe I can take them off and weld new ends on with the help of a master welder friend.
Just wanting to know if anyone else has done this yet. I see them on e-bay, but just want more information.
Here is what they look like.

Re: Possibility of using a Volvo INtercooler for Turbo Project (Inigo Montoya)
If this is just a junkyard turbo setup then I say it would work. Now if your running a big turbo with alot of boost you might want something better. But it would still work.

nah, this is going to be a junkyard turbo project.
Just boosting a little D16 6-8lbs of boost.
Just so I can ask another question does anyone know if you can use the HX exhaust manifold junkyard setup and retain Air Conditioning? Something important for me down here in the south.
If not, what company makes what I am looking for?
btw this is for a 98 EX civic coupe, if that makes any sort of difference.
