hey guy, so i was thinking one day about boosting my civic and hated the fact that i couldn't afford the turbo and intercooler and wished i was one of those people who just had one laying around. thats when it hit me, i have a ct26 turbo and intercooler off my mr2 laying around at my uncles house. the turbo needs a rebuild but thats no problem. but i was wondering if a ct26 in a stock 97 dx coupe is to much? will it just explode the first time i start it up?

That said, I don't know much about the CT26, but from what I remember of what I saw when I helped a buddy rip his out of his car, it shouldn't be a half bad turbo.

 

honestly if you can't afford the turbo or intercooler, don't bother trying to turbo it. You can put any turbo on a honda, its just a matter of tuning. Which is not cheap. Youre looking at 2k for a decent setup after everything.
