polishing compressor housing side of turbo?

Default polishing compressor housing side of turbo?

is it ok to use a wire brush connected to a drill to clean/polish the compressor side of the turbo? also how about the exhaust side? do i need to coat it with something like high temp paint? my dad said it will rust later by doing that, but i dont see how... can somebody explain

I think the exhaust side rusts regardless of what you do to it.

Polished aluminum will not rust! There is a certain procedure to polishing aluminum. This is Naji Daji's page: http://www.geocities.com/n_dahi/ .

Look under "Cosmetic:Valve Cover"

There you will see the procedure on how to polish a valve cover. The same steps will be followed on the compressor housing!
