Default PMS by EFI?

Does anyone run this? It looks pretty good for the $$$ to me. How does it compare to Hondata? What are the down side to the PMS?

I used to like it, but it is a piggy back so you are fighting against the stock ECU. It is almost exactly the same thing as the Greddy e-manage toy.

Go hondata, you won't regret it.

Hondata is a piggy back too if you think about it. AEM EMS all the way.

Uhh, hondata is not a piggy back. Heh, it actually replaces the code and data that runs on the processor in the ecu. It IS the ecu.

the PMS has software that lets you run it as a standalone. Actually try doing a search, I think we had a discussion on this a while ago.

Heh it's still piggy back... it just throws away the stock injector outputs.

try to do a search... don't need to... I got mine EMS already. riding off the stock ecu regardless is a piggy back just a premium one. Burning rom chip? forget that.

I am using the PMS, with the Windows Interaq software option, which lets the PMS act like a standalone. I personally like the unit for the money that i bought it for...was like 500, then another 300ish for the software. You can alter the injector pulse width, timing, etc every 500rpm with the software. It also has auxilary ports that you can wire in NOS or water injection and program the unit to control when you want it to spray nitrous or water injection. It also has the datalogging option just like Hondata. The software is easy user friendly enough that i tuned it myself on the dyno. I am happy with the unit, but will most likely just upgrade to a haltech or Accel DFI unit in the near future. I use this on my daily driver, stock block LS running 10psi and it runs very well. For lower boost levels (12psi and under) i think that the unit does a very good job, but when tuning is more critical like when running higher boost levels or high compression and boost there isnt enough tuning window.
