Default Plugs are pitch black

I pulled my plugs and theyre pitch black and have build up on them. Im running a 12:1 AFR under boost, and ~14:1 at idle. I know youre supposed to run 12:1 but Im not sure if my plugs are supposed to be this black / covered in crap.

Theyre not chunky, but fuzzy looking. Its not a soft buildup, I had to use a wire brush to get them clean.

i would assume so since he stated he was running 12:1 in boost and 14:1 at idle...

Yes I am tuning with a w/b.

Are you just knocking the hack in general or can it actually cause a problem with build up on plugs?

My plugs are pitch black and I'm also wondering what variables can cause that. The car also bogs bad and cuts complete out with the crack of the throttle. Also my fuel pressure is pretty high. At or above 70-80psi.

You know, that did pop into my mind just earlier. Although, I'll highly doubt it. I will check.

Nahh... what range are you running.. Sounds to me like they are not cleaning.... 1350 degrees is self cleaning temp...

your plugs should be from 800-1350 for "normal" life try going a step hotter..

Both the stock plugs and BKR7Es do the exact samething. Run completely black. The runs like complete crap. Any hard adjustment of the throttle and wants to kill itself and floods. I'm still wondering how the hell my FP when up to 70-80psi. I will try some other FPR but could it be anything else?
