Please help me learn more about this unit
edit/
So, i've got this TD04HL 13G volvo superturbocharger. If anyone wants to tell me more about what i've got here i'd love to know. The wheel is nice and tight, it spins freely, so know the bearings are good (if it does have bearings and not journals?).
Is there a way I can see if the seals are good before I put it in so I'll know if I need to change the seals?
At what RPM I should expect boost to start building and when will i get full boost on a factory D16Z6? Only mods worth mentioning is the port and polish,
What manifold should i get? thinking i may install AC so those options would be sweet
Where do i get the coolant hookup to cool the unit?

I would take a guess and say it is a TD04 something
Did you pull it off of a Volvo? Do you happen to know which model/year?

It's a TD04L-13G
Journal bearing
Water cooled
Compressor
Inducer 40.56mm Exducer 55.98mm
Turbine
Inducer 46.88mm Exducer 41.18mm
Here's the compressor map
To convert from CFM to Lb/min you multiply by .069 which gets you a maximum capability of 25-26lb/min or 250-260hp

Re: Please help me learn more about this unit
No one knows what motor you have, so we can't tell you how to hook up the water lines.
No you can't change "the seals" on them to test. At that point buy a new unit.
Do not get a "ramhorn" at all. There's no point with something this old and small.
Slow down..There's a reason you got it cheap/free... ( it means they couldn't usr it either :-) )

If you think its "just" a seal replacement on those volvo turbos, then please, be my guest. I'll let you have at it, sir. I'll let eBay decide the fate of the fateful..
Not a few hours ago you didn't know what the hell you even had in your hands. Now you're going tell others exactly what's going to cost to fix as though you built the thing yourself all of a sudden.
No, no... go ahead. I'll wait..

You can learn CPR in a couple hour class too buddy!
D-series, the better honda forum, already told me to go thru G POP for the seals.
If you're such a wise person, give me a lesson on what i've gotta do with this volvo td04hl 13g. Put up or shut up.

I asked him to put up or shut up, its clear to me that he'd rather be a jerk than actually helpful.
On the other hand, thank you Caoboy for helping me.
