Default Wheel bearing help

The hubs on my car that the wheel studs are attached too have a bit of play when I move them around. Does this mean I need to get new wheel bearings? Or when I put the wheel on and axal nut it will tighten it all together. I drove the car around the block maybe up to 60km/h before taking it all apart. I never noticed anything wrong, but at the same time I don't know what a driving on a bad wheel bearing would feel like? Wobbly tire? Both sides of the hubs have some play on them.
