Default Please help me diagnose a DIY TechEdge problem!!

I posted this message at the TechEdge Yahoo forums but havent recieved a response, so I'm giving it a shot here.

I just built a TE-2A0 unit with the display. I'm having some big problems
according to the voltage readings. The unit is stamped with a "T" so I'm assuming there arent any bridged connections on the PCB (I actually scanned the back of the board at 1200 dpi to closley inspect for bad solder connections or shorts, and didnt find any.

The readings below are the same wether or not I have the VW sensor connected or disconnected, and the LD01 display reads a constant 8.0r

This is using an input voltage of 12.0 volts, and the numbers are nearly identical when the unit is connected to a running car with a voltage of around 13.7

During operation, the green led is on solid, the red is flashing with equal on/off periods, and the orange led is flickering. The o2 sensor never heats up.

I'm pretty certain that I assembled the unit correctly because I checked EVERY SINGLE component on the PCB with a resistor and capacitor calculator and I'm pretty positive everything is orientated correctly and in the right position.

Another interesting thing that I noticed was that Q3 beeps on and off at the same rate as the blinking red LED, and my DMM wont give a reading (same thing happens with y3-6 and y1-3.

The only things I discovered that were not identical to the schematic was that the chips I recieved say XM336AC instead of XM330AC, though I've assumed this doesnt matter.
Also, for the 100ohm resistors, my kit came with the 5% instead of the 1%, though the instructions said this doesnt matter.

Tp1 2.74 --- 1.99
Tp2 3.30 --- 2.00
Tp6 0.02 --- GRND @ 187 ohms
Tp5 4.05 --- 189 ohms

Tp3 5.03 --- 2.44
Tp4 3.53 --- 2.02

Circular connector - Y3
Y3-1 2.48 --- 0.00
Y3-2 2.01 --- 2.01
Y3-3 2.75 --- 1.99
Y3-4 2.91 --- 1.99
Y3-5 2.01 --- 2.01
Y3-6 5.00 --- No reading, it is on/off with blinking status LED
Y3-7 12.0 --- 11.78
Y3-8 GRND --- 2.00 Ohms

RJ45 I/O Connector - Y1
Y1-1 4.05 --- 178 Ohms
Y1-2 0 --- 0
Y1-3 -9.0 --- No reading, it is on/off with blinking status LED
Y1-4 5.03 --- 2.44
Y1-5 0 --- GRND with 2.4 ohms
Y1-6 0.02 --- 178 Ohms
Y1-7 3.53 --- 2.01
Y1-8 12.0 --- 11.74

If anyone can help me out I'd really appreciate it. I went the DIY route because I feel fairly competent in my soldering skills, but this is just giving me a headache, and nobody in the city I live in has a TechEdge so I cant compair boards or anything.

Thanks!!!!!!!

I didnt read your all of post.

try hooking up your TE to a laptop, see if its your display or your tech edge.

The TE controller doesnt interface with the calibration software. I think I might RMA it

It's late now, but if you still haven't figured it out, I can try to take a pic of my techedge, tomorrow. I'll have to see what version I have, too

Hey! It isnt too late, I'm waiting for Peter from TE to get back to me on what the problem might possibly be and to let me know if I need to send it back and have him check it out.

If you could take a picture (big as possible!) that'd be awesome, or better yet if it isnt too much trouble, a scanner would be best. Thanks a lot though, I appreciate your offer to help
