Re: Please help me complete my custom turbo kit (Jordo)
I want to get to around 300 hp with my B18C. Is it true that I won't need a FMU if I have the AVCR??

I don't know if that was a typo on your part but a AVC-R is a boost controller so you musta ment the VAFC. But anyways depending on what setup your going for you either might need one or maybe not so I made you a little chart here, I hope it helps you determ what you wanna do for you fuel setup...
1. AFC Hack
2. Inline fuel pump
3. Intank pump, injectors, afc, missing link
4. Hondata
5. Other Standalones
If you were gona do the afc hack (# 1. on the list) you don't need an fmu.
If you were gona do the (#2 on the list) you do need an fmu of course.
If you were gona do the (#3 on the list) you need an fmu.
If you were gona do the (#4 on the list) you don't need an fmu.
If you were gona do the (#5 on the list) you don't need an fmu..

Get a standalone, vafc or other hack only will help you so far..
if you want decent power and your motor to last get stand alone alike AEM EMS or Hondata.
ghetto way-vafc(or greddy emanage), vortec 12-1 FMU, fishtank check valve(ghetto rag missing link), warlbro 255lph fuel pump
they add up about 450 bucks
get it on the dyno and have some pro to dyno tune it out.
you also need to get some fitting for th oil supply return line, which you already know, get some high quality stuff like earl's fitting..find them in summit.

Re: Please help me complete my custom turbo kit (thrty8street)
So, I won't need the VAFC, AVCR or a high pressure fuel pump if I go with a standalone? What about bigger injectors and what should I use as boost controller? Does hondata has the boost control feature??
Thanks for all the help guys.

yea you wont need the VAFC or AVCR because stand alone includes that , but yea still get the fuel pump and bigger injectors and yes hondata does have a boost option.

Re: Please help me complete my custom turbo kit (CiViC SiR)
What cc of injectors should I get? I'm running a t3/t4 on B18C, and I'm planning to reach about 250-275 hp.
thanks for all the help.

Re: Please help me complete my custom turbo kit (Civic Type-R)
hondata, although tunable for boost maps, is NOT a boost controller.
you can toss the vafc, but the avcr you will need unless you want to run at your wasetgate spring's boost
