Default Planning for a turbo H23

I'll be ordering an H23 for a 93 hatch soon, and I am trying to research turbocharging it. I've searched through H-T for h23 turbo and dont get many results that arent other people asking questions. I am new to forced induction, so I don't know much.

My budget will be limited to about $3500 for the turbo and internals if I need to do them. It will be daily driven, so I dont need really high boost, but I'd like to build the motor a bit for the turbo. I do not want to run it on stock internals. I plan to keep the car as stock as possible on the exterior, aside from wheels and tires.

1. Can anyone link me to other webpages that might have info on h23s turboed?

2. Would there be room for a sidemount intercooler? I'm going to guess no, but I've no clue. Wondering because of the sleeper issue

3. What kind of costs will I be looking at roughly with stock internals? How much can I build beyond that will my $3500 budget?

Wow you are confused, there are quite a few different t3t4's go to cheapturbo.com to check out a few of them. The d-series engine dates way back to the 80's so figure every civic modle from them till now came with a d-series (except of course the si). The b-series dates back to the late 80's I believe it came out in 1988 (jdm). From everything like the 4th gen civic sir to the current day integra gsr. ranging from a b16a to a b20z (b17,b16b,b18b,b18c,etc)
The sc61 is a turbo again it's made by precision check their website for specs.

As far as your proposed set-up I don't know to much about the h23 turbo's but I hear that they don't like boost to much in stock form. I'm sure if you ran say 6-8psi you would be fine but above that is when people have problems.
I would recomend runing about 6psi with good fuel management that way you should have a nice long lasting motor. Then save up for the build, and then have some fun

the h23 performs well under boost... even in stock form. it has lower compression, less valve overlap, little more displacement, etc... all good things for f/i.

good fuel management is a must if you want the power and not a engine sized paperweight.

Yeah I had the h22 in mind as I typed the response. I assume the h22 and h23 perform simular.
