Re: anyone run low boost on an sc61? (boosted jetta)
My GS-R made 197whp at about 4lbs a few weeks ago, because my wastegate sucks. New one should be here Monday.
There are a few dynos (I think I searched for SC61 dyno) of GS-R's running low boost, all making just over 300whp at 10psi. I'd say it's not going to suck at low boost, but we'll see on Monday.

that's what i like to hear how does it feel though? my motor is a 2.0 16v with a 92.8mm stroke so it will be a torque beast, but it will only rev to 7,500rpms so my boost window will be like 4000-7000k

300whp at 8psi? What was the setup? Which housing?
Seems like a lot, I hope I'll get that much from my B18C.

I'll be running .5 bar on my b16a. Got the car running today, just need to finish fab work on the charge pipes and the downpipe.

on the b16 the power is realllllly high up in the rpms. it dosnt make full boost till about 5700rpms. its a completly stock block/head minus the valve springs/retainers.. we rev it to 9500 rpms. it would make more but we dont want to rev it more
on the old built 2liter motor we had in the car it spooled 20psi at 4800 rpms. im not sure this turbo would be good on a VW motor, those things arent known for their rev ability.
the setup for the b16 is.....
stock block, un ported head
crower valve train
overblown motorsports equal length manifold
jg intake manifold
precision sc61
revhard i/c
crappy hacked up i/c piping
tial 46mm wg
tial 50mm bov
64mm throttle body
precision 880cc injectors
aem ems
eurospeed performance coil on plug kit
tilton twin disk clutch/flywheel
and of course my tuning

Innovative uses Garrett compressor wheels. I am not sure on the T3 turbine wheels but I know Innovative makes their own T04 turbine wheels.
Now, on the T4 turbines from Innovative it can have the same name as a P-trim but will not perform like the Garrett P-trim. So because it has the same specs or trim only means it has the same inducer and exducer size, but will not perform the same.......

Re: anyone run low boost on an sc61? (Arturbo)
Well,
Peppy's turbo has a GT-40 56 trim compressor wheel. Dry center section and stage 5 (10 blade) turbine wheel. All that with a .63 a/r non port turbine housing.
Here are some pics if that would help:

i'm hoping to see full boost by 4000-4500rpm max, my motor is a 2.0 with a 92.8mm stroke, so that should get it spolling a little faster than a honda motor
