Default pistons and rods for lower compression on a d16

Im looking to buy some pistons and rods (uprated) for my turbo honda d16a9. Is it worthwhile myself getting the cylinders rebored wider to take wider pistons? Or is it more work for not much more of a gain (ive gotta get the block honed anyway). I was just gonna stick to the standard bore size as im only looking to run 12PSI max, i'd prob get away with 15 at time im guessing. This is my first turbo conversion but i wanna do it properly, can anyone lend me some advice?
cheers

i would not increase the bore of the stock sleeves unless your planing on getting iron ones.

it just makes them weeker.

anyone know where i can get some pistons and rods for a d16a9? I cant seem to find a place that stocks them for my application. My engine is a d16a9 DOHC 16v (non vtec) euro spec.
Thanks

You can get pistons for any D16 and they will fit..Doesn't matter if theyre for D16A9 or A6 or Z6 etc,.. since the bore are all the same-->75mm..they will fit in there.

is there a part number anyone can help me with? Also how much should I be looking to pay for rods and pistons. Looking to run a safe 12-15 PSI. The engine is more or less the same as a ZC DOHC

For 12-15 PSI i wouldnt rely on the stock rods so id say you could go with Eagle Rods. They go for around 300-325.

About pistons,thats really your choice..
JE, Arias,Wiseco, CP are good pistons to look for.

nice thanks mate, yeah i found some on ebay and importparts.com....

Everywhere I ask seems to think I shall need a custom set of pistons, I seem to have a dodgy engine code which no one in the USA (im from the UK by the way)seems to understand im pretty sure i could get away with ordering a set of ZC pistons but just to be sure is there anything I need to know about the spec of my engine to make sure? diameter of pistons? etc etc...
any help is greatly appreciated... im kind of a beginner to swapping engine internals (normally used to bolt ons) but im eager to learn.. thanks again
