J.E./CP/Wiseco/arias/SRP

pretty much all the same, CP seem to be the top dollar piston for the most part unless you have some custom roller wave piston made.

i had a wiseco stand up to this

i don't want to sleeve the block. i don't want to get crazy with the set up. i'm not making a drag car , just a quick street setup thats dependable. did those pistons damage the cylinder walls at all?

thanks for replying

Always have been a fan of J.E. . If your not loking for a drag setup, youll fine SRPs are great for a budget. They are a bit cheaper and still of pretty good quality. All the other pistons mentioned by UrbanSi are good too. More of a matter of what fits your budget and what you get a liking for. If any one of them were crap, we wouldn't recommend them.

i got a killer deal on the rods, but i got lucky. I'll probably get one of the better pistons, i don't mind the cash my motor is worth it. thanks a lot for the input

No they are not all the same. That is all I'm gonna say.

Wiesco is pretty damn good at what they do.

i hate questions like this. MidShipCivic says what he says probably because he's an engine builder and looks at particular details. All those manufacturers make a good piston. It comes down to the person installing them, breaking off sharp edges if there happen to be any and so on.

i've went from gsr, to itr, to cp and to wiseco's currently.

both mfg's make great pistons, the wiseco's came balanced within .1g of each other out of the box!

i had to some balancing on the cp's.

i got the wiseco's for $420 on here new, srp's sell rings and pistons seperatly usually, and usually end up being near the same price, srp's have a higher silicone content then some other mfg's
