Piston Ring gap - Wiseco - what size?
I've gotten two different answers from two different people at wiseco. so i'm posting here.
Wiseco 81.5mm pistons. approximate 10.0 compression. looking to boost say 10psi at the max (N/A for the break in period)
What should my ring gap be?
Wiseco (1st time) said Top ring .014 - .016 Bottom Ring .015 - .017
Called again Top Ring .016 Bottom Ring .018
Please help me to determine what size i should be using for my application. Thank you.

Well i'm running wiseco piston 84mm and cp rings and what jhon at RaceEngineering told me was between 16-18 top ring and 18-21 bottom, i went with 16 top and 19 bottom and i haven't had a problem.

As long as you are over you are fine last set up i had i was running 19 top and 24 bottom never had a problem. i changed it cause i had 20% leak on #3 piston due to a bad tunner who leaned it out on the dynno, and still like that it got tunnned by another tunner and made 340 whp @17lb which he said i had about 40 hp loss due to the leak down. Total leak down was 10%#1.. 9%#2.. 20%#3... 9%#4..

that'll be fine, you have small bore so you dont need giant ring gaps
