piston clearance for my ls/vtec
im starting a turbo ls/vtec build. i have a b16a2 head and im picking up a b18b1, possibly a b18a1 block soon. along with sleeves, rods, and pistons. im looking for a CR of 9.0:1, on the STD 81mm bore. do i just buy the 9:1 pistons for a b18a/b? i couldnt find any information on how the compression is affected by pairing these two units up.
im going to use the following:
supertech valve train
toda adjustable cam gears
skunk2 tuner 1 camshafts
manley H beam rods
CP 9.0:1 pistons
do i get b16 / b18a/b / b18c pistons?

Re: piston clearance for my ls/vtec
All b series pistons are basically the same
Only rod length differs
And you can't just drop an 81mm piston in an 81mm bore, stock stock bore has to be honed to reach the proper piston to wall clearance.
