Will forged JE pistons for an LS fit B18c5??
Im currently boosting my B18c5 on stock internals and want to get lower comp. pistons. I see a good deal for some JE pistons. The seller says he got it for his Integra LS. But would these fit my motor. Also same questoin about the rods. TIA

If the pistons are stock diameter they should fit, although you'll probably need a hone and you may or may not need to bore your cylinders. If you need a bore, you'll probably need to step up to overbore pistons. LS rods are a different length, so they won't work for you unless you want to run an LS crank.

I'm not sure how it would exactly affect what you are looking to do with it, but don't forget that the stroke is different between the b18b/b18c!

All stock B16 and B18a/b/c engines have the same bore. Overbored they all work just the same. The only thing to concern yourself with is the difference in head volume which will yield a different compression ratio. There are various compression calculators on the internet, but another way to find out the compression would be to head over to the Hybrid or All-motor forums since those guys have more experience with mixing and matching parts.

Re: (Schister66)
thanks for all the replies. so basically the je pistons will fit all b16 and b18 motors with stock bore. as for rods (eagle rods) for LS they have a different stroke and therfore will not because of different compression ratios? is this right?

No, the LS rods will not work unless you're using an LS crank. They're going to be too long and would be a very bad choice for you. Get a set of GSR/ITR Eagle rods and call it a day...the pistons will still work for you though.

I believe that the lenght is not the issue. The issue is that LS rods do not actually fit the ITR/GSR cranks.

It's both. How can you look at the LS block with a longer stroke than the GSR/ITR motors, while the piston compression height is still the same, deck height is still the same, and yet assume that the rods would be the same length?

I think you misunderstood what I was trying to say.
The LS rods are longer then the ITR and GSR. But the without machine work you cant bolt up the LS rods to a VTEC crank.

Well actually the LS rods are Shorter than GSR/ITR rods as well as narrower at the bearing end. They will not work with a GSR/ITR crank.
But last I knew JE didn't make a piston specifically for an LS.They have a different listing for b18 c1 and c5 because of the different cylinder head volumes.
