Pinging On Top End Under Boost
I'm tuning the car at the moment and the air/fuel ration is good, the only issue is the pinging. Timing on the Vtec portion of the table is24.00 to 19.00 through the table. Any other suggestions? Running 93 octane-boosting 8psi-Ls/Vtec . Thanks

Pinging corrected by adding more timing.. However the car builds boost but it does not pull like it should. It seems as if it's running NA still, RPM's are rising slowly while at full boost..

hey david, did you double check to make sure your dizzy is at 16 degrees btdc?
if its retarded say 3 degrees, and ur running 19 degrees, that means ur only running like 16 degrees,
also whats your AFR?

Yea this morning the first thing I did was change the plugs and check the timing which was 16 degrees on the dot. The air to fuel is 11.8 Under Boost and 14.5 non boost because I don't know what my compression ratio is on this engine. I will send you an email with my current program that I am running.

what are you using for engine management. If your using aem your supposed to sync your timing with a timing light. You use the wizard in the aem and advance or retard until the ems says what the timing light shows.

Blue, I am using Crome at the moment for tuning. I was able to tune the AFR and timing so far. I am just not sure how far to push it with timing.
