picking a stock sohc boost setup (advice column)
My old z6 blew up, looking for some advice on boosting a stock sohc until i can get the beast rebuilt again... Also need the new motor for a template for the turbo mani and 3" turbo back i am going to fab up with the new tig welder
Im really liking the fact that i can ship a d15b vtec to my door for around $750 with fairly low miles, but about how much power can they handle when they are rockin arp's? Are they comparable to the z6's and y8's? You know in the ballpark of 8psi and/or 220hp? And is there any difference between the obd1 version to the obd2 besides the computer?
One more thing, with a t3/t04e 50 trim pushing 20ish psi, what would be the best manifold choice for an efficient boost at high rpm's?

Arp headstud are going to prevent your head from lifting but they will not increase how much power you can run on a stock d15/d16. As far as how much power it can handle... well they are the same...y8/z6/b7 ect all have the same weakness those tiny rods can only handle so much. 160-180 the motor will handle like a champ on good tune, 190-220 :/ OK.. anything more and your pushing your luck
