10lb(it will last you awhile)....dpends on your budget too. more boost will call for quality parts
sissies will tell you 8 or less. but ive seen around her stock Dseries go to 15lbs all day long daily driving. all in the tune though

i would say 8-10psi would be safe. It really comes down to how good of a tune you have.

If you go ANY HIGHER than 9PSI, I strongly suggest upgrading to ARP headstuds.

Z6 tend to have head lift at around the 11-12PSI mark, but it is hit'n'miss.

Some will lift at 10PSI, others will go up to 18PSI.

Me personally, I have been running 10PSI on a stock Z6 w/OEM headstuds no problem.

Also, the OEM Honda MAP sensor is good to 11PSI, so if you wanna go higher, you're going to need an aftermarket pressure/MAP sensor.

Hope this helps.

umm yeah, i just ran my d16 turbo del sol, with a Stage 2 crower cam, ARP headStuds, .030" over Cometic Headgasket and stock block and a little over 20,xxx mi on it, at around 10-12lbs of boost, and put roughly 4 holes through my block and had piston/connecting rod/block parts all over the road, i would be careful. I blew out my block at around 4-5k rpm's going roughly 70

There is no such thing as "safe boost level". It is addictive. You might start at 5psi and your engine MIGHT hold together. If it did hold together you would get excited and bump it up to 10psi. Again, it MIGHT hold together. If it did you would get excited and bump it up to 15psi. This could go on for a while, but when you least expect it, it will let go, and violently. Then you will spend a ton of money building a new engine that can take the boost (because at that point you are addicted and you HAVE to have boost). And the cycle will start again.

Anyway, I say go for 8psi. lol.
