Why does the turbo sit like that?

Ask Brad at s-fab JDMS1EEPER he made it like that. It does allow the downpipe to have very little angle to make the bend which seems to work very well in spooling and how it flows, well untill i fried my shortblock, but ill know how well it does in about two weeks with a fresh set of CP's and a good tune.

In the pic it look slike a drastic angle but in person its really just on a slight tilt

Tilting the turbo that way makes you have to have more of a bend in the downpipe than normal.

The picture is an actual picture of the turbo setup, it looks just as drastic in person as it does in the picture, there's no weird angle on the camera or anything....

How much for this manifold with a T3 flange? And how do you run the Intercooler piping?

I'd have to say a top to bottom flow intercooler w/ the inlet and outlet on the same side(passenger side)

this is slightly off topic but what about have the t/b on the other side of the intake manifold? I have seen a few vw intakes that you can put the throttle body on either side of the intake manifold plenum, with the top mount thats off to the side like that wouldnt somehting like that make piping easier?

you could probably do that but is it worth spending the extra money for it or just getting a top-bottom intercooler like stated above?

If it where me I would just go with this type of IC

well imean really how hard would it be to take a golden eagle or Hp racing intake manifold and cut the runners in half and flip it over you know?, i mean its just an idea, and would be pretty cool to see it done

yeah you could do that also. But I dont think that would work as good as you would think (not trying to sound like a dick) if you look at the clearance from the strut tower to the valve cover I dont think there is enough clearance to run a pipe through there. plus with the brake booster being right there that would be another thing to look at. I could be wrong but I dont think I would personally want to try it. I am sure someone could make it work though so dont get me wrong. Take a look a Joe (turbo-charged) pic and you will see what I mean.

Yeah well when that T1 cam trigger is free or half price ill pick one up, untill then the AEM EMS and the DIZZY and the AEM CDI work very well for me. Yes its the gangsta lean manifold but it works and it works very well. hopefully be in MIR to put up some good passes on it and get the car dialed in with my gangsta lean mani. HAHA

Ya'll know who, KEEPING IT GANGSTA LOLOLOLOL

could you guys make a top mount with the turbo compressor facing to the passenger side ? .. I don't think it would be hard for the DP, but maybe the IC piping ..

(other than that one manifold)

Only thing I dont like with most top mounts is that you cant run a filter.

Its also more gradual which is a plus.
