Phearable.net Crome Tuned / Dyno Sheet - Built 1.8L LS / 330whp 290tq / 110deg intake temps / sc61 @
Figured I would post a dyno sheet of a car I recently tuned. :-)
1.8L LS motor, CP Pistons, Eagle Rods, Block Guard.
1000cc injectors, sfp manifold, precision sc61 turbo, tial 38mm wg.
Tuned on Crome Pro by John Vega of Phearable.net
Keep in mind that the intake temps were 110 deg & I could not turn off the car due to a battery that was completely dead. I am sure the motor was seeing heat soak conditions due to the amount of heat/humidity & runs that were put on the vehicle within 2 hours.
If I had more time on the dyno, colder intake temps & a working battery, the tq & power band would have been a little nicer. We spent a good 30-45 minutes just trying to resolve a boost spiking issue. I only had 2 hours on the dyno due to the customer's lack in funds.
The dyno sheet below is one of the runs where the boost creeped/spiked & boost cut was hit.

I believe it was 9.0:1 honestly forgot the exact c/r.
Hopefully the customer will chime in w/ the cr when he comes by to look at the thread.

Intake temps were 110 deg. I am sure it would have made much better power with colder intake temps & more time on the dyno

Damn you man!!!! I was just gonna make a thread thanking you and bragging about the new numbers!!!
The car is mine, and let me say, this guy knows his ****... I was thoroughly impressed with the results, and I cant be happier... John (mtber) is a great guy and really knows his stuff...
As he said, it was very hot, and the car had been running for close to 3 hours straight, so the dyno plot in all actuallity is probably not accurate as to what power its really making... The car honestly feels like its making around 350whp based on my *** dyno calculations... The car anihilates my BFG drag radials through second gear, and pulls insanely once it catches traction in third... I actually got a chance to take it out this weekend and have some fun with it, and it is a BLAST to drive... I ran a few friends just to see how it was running, and it definitely surprised me... I ran my boys 385whp boosted RSX-S and put half a car on him, ran an SR powered s13 240 that has a best time of 11.2 and lost count of how many cars I put on him, and ran my boys modded 01 SS and put about 3 cars on him missing third gear...
Car is definitely running damn good and pulls like hell... Sucks that I couldnt up the boost anymore due to creeping issues, but I will be getting a new wastegate spring and giving John a ring again once funds permit...
Setup is as follows..
B18A1 block:
bored 81.5mm, block guard, CP 9.0:1 GSR pistons (should be about 8.7:1 in my motor), Eagle big bolt rods, LS crank balanced and micropolished, Clevite bearings, type R oil and water pumps
Head is from a 98 LS, completely stock except for custom ground cams
Turbo kit is a SFP race manifold, Sc61S w/ T350 Stage 5 turbine, Tial 38mm w/ .6bar spring, 2.5" IC piping, tial BOV, Custom SFP IC using Precision/Garrett bar and plate 24x12x3.5 core w/ 2/75" inlet and outlet, and MSD 96lb injectors, GM3bar, tuned on Crome Pro.
Oh yeah, did I mention the 96lb injectors that John got to idle perfectly and get me 330 miles on my last tank INCLUDING the 35 dyno pulls???
Once again, I have to thank Mr.John Vega for making me extremely happy with my car... This man definitely gets from me...
More boost and bigger numbers soon

Good stuff John I'm sure the car could have made more power but we will only know once it's back on the dyno. A car that had been running for three plus hours isnt going to make Honda-Tech dyno numbers The car is quick and reliable. That's what the owner wanted.

RELIABLE???!!!!! are we talking about the same car????
Just messin with ya mang!!!!!
yeah we can go from a roll if you want. i like not knowing if i can win in a race it makes it so much more fun instead of picking on cars you know you will beat.
i'd love a shot at the LS

The afr ratios did not change from the 1st run to the last, except for smoothing adjustments I made.
