Default phaphon's gsr build thread

hey wassup well i decided to start a build thread, to get some help on what parts i should get or not.my goal for this set up is high 500 whp maybe 600 whp on 114 race gas.a little history on my motor. i bought a car from my friend with a spun bearing .so i rebuilt it, with the intentions of it being a daily driver. so i got it rebuilt. it ran for about 7000 miles fine . so i decided to boost it. while tuning the sleeve crack . so i drop the block off at laskey racing to get it resleeved . i went 84 mm with eagle rods and, 10:1 compression cp pistons. got the car to tune spun a bearing. so this time i sent the block to laskey for him to rebuild. ok so this time i choose a different tuner and, he tune it got home after a while it started bogging. so i took it to another tuner. they fixed the tune and ran perfect.then ran into another problem, my turbo suck in a rock. so i upgraded the turbo and figured hey why not upgrade my cast manifold ect. ok got everything together took it to the tuner that i spun a bearing with . it ran good . then i blew my tranny and decided to pull the motor with it. so i drain my oil and find metal shavings . when i pulled it found bearing mumber two was on its was of letting go. so now i would like to rebuild this block myself . block is in the machine shop getting check.

ok for my old set up it was
gsr benson sleeved block
84 mm cp 10:1 compression pistons
eagle rods
stock gsr crank balanced along with piston rods ect.
arp head studs
stock port gsr head
with supertech springs and retainers
ferrea 6000 series valves
type r cams
victor x manifold port matched to 70 bdl tb
turbo set up is spoolin mini ram
60-1 garret turbo .63 hot side .70 cold side
2.75 in downpipe
threadstone custom backdoor setup
tial 38 mm wastegate
ebay bov
id1000 with 255lph wal bro
tuned on hondata s300.

what i woud like to change about that is go 11:1 will i be able to do a low boost set up on 91 pump gas with that compression?
also should i stick to eagle ? or switch to manley rods?
i do plan on switching to a ls crank.
anything else anyone feel i should upgrade feel free to give me your opinions.
i will be sure to add pictures of from the beginning

getting ready to head to laskey

ouch

Street cars should have air filters. Imagine when that rock went through the turbo, that then sent rock and metal from the turbine blades into the motor. You didnt give the motor a fair chance to have a full life.

Stay 10.0:1 or lower with 91 octane. 600whp won't be possible with the standard 60-1, but 500whp will be pushing it. Get ready to use better knock resistent fuel.

Hey what's up I'm not dead yet. I took a long break . But now I'm back I sold most of my parts of parts. I kept was my Benson block and thermo exhaust . As of right now I'm just building a b20 block I got from a friend . Which will be simple all motor build while I gather parts again for the gsr. I also sold my 2000 gsr and bought a 92 civic si. Will post pics of update after my photos finish uploading . Let me know if I shouldn't be posting this
How it's looking when I first got the si
