maybe your turbo is broken

 

a thought if you haven't tried it already:


get some soapy water. put it (carefully, obivously) in different places along your charge pipes. bubbles = leak.

 

Soapy water that's like half water/half dishwashing detergent...

If it's making a farting sound, it sounds like one of the eurethane pipe connectors is leaking...

The idea of the friend gassing it while you listen sounds good to me. Just do it like Gran Turismo, mat the gas to get it spooling, then let off, and just mat and let off repeatedly, not letting the engine actually rev over 4-5k rpm, so you don't spin a bearing or anything stoopid. You should hear it with the turbo spooling a good bit at WOT while doing this, just like it was a really crappy two step

i cant move enough air in neutral to boost or spool the turbo at all.

fuel rail is snug
but i can bring it down some more
and not snap off the studs hopefully

 

I can spool my 4/3 on my li'l b16a to 5 psi in neutral, I'm sure the little GReddy will TRY to make full boost by doing this, trust me.

 

apparently, something is seriously wrong then.
