Bov without even going over zero psi?
Is it possible to blow off without even going over zero boost? Mine seems to do that... maybe my boost guage is wrong? I have a greddy electronic boost guage and a dsm bov. But when it does blow off, it is very light.

Exactly - the turbo IS boosting, but it's only "boosting" the piping up to the throttle body. You're driving around at part throttle, so there's a big obstruction at the throttle body, and the pressure in the manifold is still lower than atmospheric, but there's still positive pressure in the piping for the BOV to vent.
