Default Percision vs Garrett, whats the difference?

I'm just curious about differences in Garrett and Percision turbos. I'm currently in the market to purchase a new turbo, but I'm wondering what differences account for extra prices in the Percision series turbo.

The turbo's in question here are the SC52 and the SC61 vs the T3/T043 .57 or .60 comp wheel.

Then prices range from about $700-850 for the SC series, and around $500-600 for the T3/T04e

Im pretty sure the difference is in the bearing. The Precision have a 360* bearing while the Garretts only have a 270*.

I was interested in this before I purchased mine. While searching around I read that the Precision turbos use Garrett internals. I could be wrong but I am pretty sure about that.

Anyway the employees at my local parts shop told me that a 270* bearing was a "truck turbo" and meant for a different oil pressure than for my car. They told me the 360* was the way to go. They also said this came from their Precision rep. But I posted that a few months back and lots of people did not agree.

Hope this was somehow helpful, if not it will give you some direction to search in.

(I got a good deal on a used SC34 so I went with the Precision)
