Default people using dsm bov

How much hp are you guys making with this bov and does anybody have a sound clip?

it's not really the horsepower that these max out at, its the psi they can handle before they begin leaking. I believe stock, they run believe 10-15 psi and a crushed dsm bov should hold up to 20 psi

do a couple searches...there is a very diy way to make dsm gen1 bovs hold 22psi no problem...its on a dodge site...just google it

Yeah, I've used them on several customer builds. They actually sound pretty good and work well for so cheap.

1g and 2g DSM's run around12 psi stock. A crushed valve will hold around 18psi and you can modify it further to hold even more.

Evo's run more boost stock, but they arent DSM's.

1g DSM bov's should never be in the same sentence as a 2g DSM bov, unless your commenting on how much better the 1g is.

2g plastic bov's are junk, and leak at 15psi. The 1g's are far superior and will hold 20+ all day long crushed.

mine is holding 15 psi but its crushed and before i crushed it it would leak like a motherf#er. i'm going to switch out but its good for a budget build.

yeah good call on the quality of the 1st gen compared to the 2nd gen. Ive found the 1gen dsm's construction is alot better, durability wise.
