i would like to say all of my peak boost products fit perfectly and I would recommend you call them if you need support rather then try to ruin their products reputation

Peakboost

I don't even see why cutting the bumper is such a big deal. You're modifying a car, not everything is going to fit like a dream.

As far as what I'm gathering from your pictures, you've got the intercooler hung with a friggin' bungee cord and not just that but it looks crooked. Why don't you actually install the entire kit before actually making judgement calls on what fits and what doesn't.

...and if they suck so bad at making charge piping, why don't you make your own? Problem solved.

i would rather have to mess with the charge piping to get it to fit right than have my manifold fall apart and damage the turbo.. if a perfect no hassle install is what your after u might try a greddy kit.... my peakboost kit is awesome....all the parts that come with the kit are very good ex. being ; t-bolt clamps not hose clamps, thick couplers, oil feed/return kit with all nec. hardware, not to mention the bad *** welding on all the piping and manifold/downpipe....
i agree with ken and everyone else who say to mount the manifold, turbo, etc.. and mounting the intercooler to the metal bumper support..... . going fast isn't cheap and easy....

whats the difference between my opinion and your? i had the same fitment issue as the op around year ago and they said they were gonna change it for future customers but they didn't.
</TD></TR></TABLE>

Do you really think peakboost is crap like you said? There is a huge amount of happy customers that run their products myself included. It seems there is a small amount that may have had fitment issues, but like was said earlier its very hard to make 1 single kit to fit many cars.

A single sided comment like you made just doesnt belong in this thread.......

Single sided or not, it's my experience with them. When I spent 3000 on a turbo kit i expect them to take out all the guess work out of fitting everything together not your kit may or may not fit. If that was the case i would've piece together my own kit.

If its that hard to make one kit fit many cars like you said then maybe they shouldn't be advertising it that way

That logic could be used with SSAC also. Im sure they have plenty of happy customers otherwise they wouldnt sell as much as they do. But they have a smaller amount of customers that have problems that we get to hear about.

There is nothing wrong with the OP starting the thread about having fitment issues, b/c its obvious others have had the same problem. You all need to stop swinging from Peakboost's nuts and notice that some people do have a problem with the piping. Peakboost makes good products I know this, but blind brand loyalty is retarded.

And as for who stated whats the big problem with cutting up your bumper? I dont know, whats wrong with putting on a huge wing and body kit while we are at it? I mean we are modifying right? Its the same logic, you dont want your car looking like **** just b/c its modified.

Some of you should not be boosting your cars. If you're not prepared to cope with MINOR tweaking issues, then you are not ready for a turbo car in my opinion. I was able to make my peakboost kit fit just fine.

And for the kid with the DC who said his driver side charge pipes were hanging low. Here is your solution: (get a grinder and cut out a little notch)

Last I checked the people complaining about it have civics, mainly an EG. Since the EG and DC piping is the same apparently, it is not fitting in there EG like it does in a DC. So really your pictures dont prove or help anything for those that have a civic.

i've been reading this thread since day one and i do agree with this guys complaint when u spend 3 gs on a turbo kit. you expect it to be a bolt on process, and not a fab and hack job. now don't get me wrong i have bought from peakboost and think they r great. but i did not buy a complete turbo kit from them becuase i seen the thread they had going on and did not like the way people had to cut and hack there bumpers up. so i opted to get every thing but the intercooler and piping. and just did my own piping and got a ebay intercooler, plus i wanted to keep my fog lights too. but this is all my 2 cents

Not aimed to throw mud at the customer(s) or seller(s)

You're paying $3,000+ for a Peakboostkit so that you can call that E-mail or that Toll Free number to have your issues / questions answered. This forum is nicknamed Hater-Tech because its easier to complain than to do something the "right" way.

You cant go about Turboing your car as if your shopping at Wal-Mart. You want the Best Deals, The Best Customer Service and The Best delivery rate and the best quality(?). Satisfaction and Resolution are nothing with out cooperation and doing things the right way. Its like steak and potatoes with no A1 sauce.

Agreed, if you are using the PeakBoost piping with anything other than a PeakBoost manifold or intercooler, it will not be a direct fit..

With the amount of PeakBoost kits out there, there is bound to be an issue at some point or another. Since we've redesigned the charge pipe kit 2 years ago, this is the first we've heard of any fitment issues.

Anything PeakBoost related, questions, concerns, orders... we can be reached toll free 877-23-TURBO

wait what? the intercooler is yours. Its bolted in the center. The piping is yours on the pass and driver side. fact of the matter is that the U is too long which leads to it hitting the bumper. that is regardless of the manifold in use. I bought the kit from someone else, not new from peakboost, so i understand that i cant call you guys up and that you dont have an obligation to fix it and I understand that completely. I just am a little disapointed in the initial mockup.

well if you mount the FMIC flush to the bumper support of course you're gonna have to cut...move it furthur back towards the engine...you don't have the biggest FMIC there so you should be able to move it furthur back. i've got a similar sized IC and had to barely trim the inner lower lip of the stock grille...barely noticeable

Garrett 24"x8"x3.5" front mount intercooler
How mine turned out without the PeakBoost IC chargepipes.
*Front bumper support removed.

When I ordered my kit PeakBoost had no chargepipe kit for the H22/EH2.
