well i changed the water pump, timing belt, put a new thermostat in, flushed the motor and radiator, put in new coolant, and bled the system and still not any better...does anyone suspect a clogged radiator? i shot water through it with a water hose and water was flowing out the other end but maybe it wasnt flowing like it should...also ive ran this radiator for a while with no problems so i dont think that its to small one for my motor. whats next on the check list?

my car also overheated after the turbo install. My thermoswitch went faulty for some reason, after i changed it. everything was fixed.

so was your thermo switch not turning your fan on at all or was it turning it on but not soon enough? cuz my fan turns on but maybe its not turning on soon enough.

definitely try the thermostat!!! because i thought it wasn't my thermostat at first because my fan was still turning on, but i guess it was being screwy, it wouldn't turn on at the right times? Anyways, after replacing the waterpump, thermostat, c&r radiator... i thought i would give a last try and put in a new thermoswitch and voila! So my lesson learned was start w/ the cheapest items first!

Mine done that on a gsr turbo. Turns out it was the radiator, the stock single core radiator just dont cut it. Get one from a automatic car or a dohc vtec civic or del sol. Found mine at autozone for 99.00. Just my 2cents.

did you have one of those skinny radiators with the plastic end tanks? the one i got is the more thicker one with metal end tanks. i think its dual core .

okay i changed the thermoswitch and it got a lil better. well i drove it at night so im gonna see how it does in the hot hawaiian sun tomorrow. hopefully its my radiator and not my head gasket. maybe it was my thermoswitch along with something else. anyways only one more thing left before i change the head gasket.

my friend had that slim fan and he went back to a stock fan, and he looped the relay so its always on, no more overheating.
