That would get so old so fast. I definitely have to give you props for putting up with that.

As stated in the last post on page one about replacing the radiator with higher mileage on it, I never really thought of that before and it does make sense to me. Hopefully that's my problem (it has 152,000+ on it ) it still works, but with the turbo like .5" away it isn't too happy haha. Can't wait to get the new turbo and new radiator in there to see what happens.

I had a similar problem with my 93 hatchback this past summer. It would pin red while i was on the bypass doing about 70mph. first thing I did was change the coolant to water wetter and changing the t-stat, didnt fix it. Finally I fixed it, come to find out it was my temp sensor in my t-stat housing. The problem was the sensor it was to late to turn the fan on, and when it finally came on it was to late, it couldnt keep up to cool the motor down. I changed the sensor "problem solved"
just a thought

How many of you have aftermarket thin fans (especially like the autozone $40)? I think that the stock honda fan w/ the big shroud really makes a huge difference; though I know alot of us don't have room for that.

Has anyone ever made a plate to funnel the air from the driver side of the opening to the radiator and found it to solve their problem?

Same thing happened to me... Radiator was busted.

New ebay radiator fixed the problem.

Yea i really think the reason people have problems with them popping gaskets is too much timing. I used to run a y8 head and as we all know now they dont like the p28 z6 timing maps whatsoever which nobody really knew at that time
