Default Overboosting ...

I recently installed a filter with a 45 degree bend on my turbo. I've always had a mesh on there and thought it was time to put a filter on it. Well everything went smooth except now im overboosting. I haven't taken it out yet to find out if its causing it or not. But the filter itself is a ram air type where its getting cold air. Could a ram air effect cause my overboosting problem?

a ram air effect will not cause an overboost problem... you couldnt possibly ram more air in there than the turbo sucks in... otherwise we wouldnt need a turbo, and intake would add 100hp!!... on a more serious note the overboost problem is more likely due to a leak in the wastegate signal line... I have to change mine about once every month or 2... it gets really hot and eventually fails... I can rarely see any leaks, but I overboost, then I change that line and it is fine... try that!

I tried that, I even bypassed my profec B and put a new line from the compressor to the side port.... I will recheck it again though. Thanks
