It is absolutely safe on high HP boosted setups. Fundamentally it is the same as hondata.

Consider this, when running off the stock MAP sensor hondata gives you 3 columns to tune boost, whereas Uberdata will give you 5, this gives you more fine grained control over tuning.

Keep in mind they share a common component: the honda ECU. There is really only one way to do things man.

It is an established business strategy to not be an "early adopter" and stand back and watch how things pan out. Hondata has an established reputation, and you feel safer with that, that's fine.

eventually i will probably end up getting a AEM becuz it has everything you need to tune the motor. for now i'll get the Hondata tuned.

how would you guys compare the Crome or Uberteg to the AEM ?

i am not a patient person. i want to race my car now and i can't take the time to learn how to tune and then learn how to tune to make power.

i am a DIY person. i put my motor together, pieced my turbo kit together, etc. they are a couple of things that i can't do ie. weld, tune a motor, etc. so i leave that to the professionals.

i don't know how many times i have to explain that.

How am I worng? I said that you were uninformed and you just said that you didnt want to learn the stuff, thus rendering you uninformed. Must be that busy racing schedule Im usually patient buy you seem to be wearing on my nerves. If you tired of explaining things, or attempting to, why not just stop jacking this thread? que? I'm sorry, I don't see what part of that was in response to me.

EMS' go bad, so do the hondata copy-protection box. I guess I would advise to make sure you go through a reputable dealer, and inform yourself of how they handle warranty claims, how long is the warranty for, and will they overnight you a unit, or do you have to ship your unit, have them inspect it and then ship it back to you. I'd ask these questions.

Who are you going to for tuning in this area? I hear nothing but excellent things about RPM-NYC

my opinion on uberdata...it's ****** great. it's free, I like to learn new things, while i'm saving for a turbo kit, i'll learn it and how to burn chips. then tune my own car.

If you are the kinda guy who likes and open to learning then go for it, if not steer away from it, period

yeah mods get compensated every day they are on.

yup triple the compensation now. i get paid 0 so now its 3x more so its 0x3 = 0.

modding is a thankless job. you just get a constant stream of bitching.

I like Unberdata however I would have to solder more on my ECU to get it to work. So I choose Crome instead and it works really well. Uberdata is free you can't go wrong..

 

can you explain why you'd have to solder more on your ecu to use uberdata?

his ecu is missing the c51, and the c52 disk capacitors that's the only reason we can think off for uberdata not to work...

not arguing with you but that makes absolutely no sense. i am a signal integrity engineer and you SHOULD put those caps in any case, short answer is because i said so.
