Open-loop wastegate muffler??
does anyone know of any companies that make small diameter mufflers that can be used to quiet down an open-loop wastegate setup? anyone ever seen a setup like this?
Well, if you want to keep it open, I have heard of people putting lawnmower mufflers on there. I don't know how it sounds, but it's a very good idea.
For a while I entertained having a small resonator section put on my wastage dumptube, but I decided against it. I know Minekie supplies 1 inch resonators (at least the one in my area does).

...go to Home Depot, in the lawn mower/tractor "parts" section. They have a wall full of replacement chit like air filters, plugs, etc. You will find a 6" long muffler for a 7HP B&S engine. It's like $3.97.
I was talking to someone @ Tial the other day - he said he made his own wastegate muffler out of 2 pieces of pipe. What he described was EXACTLY like that Home Depot muffler, except with 10xs as much work (drilling a million holes, capping the inlet pipe, welding everything up, etc). When I saw that HD muffler for $4 I thought "screw making one - this thing is perfect!"
