Default External Wastegate Dump Tube Muffler

Hi, I have a Tial 38mm external wastegate. When it opens at full boost its soo freekin loud. I know I could re circulate it back into the down pipe but I don't want to lose the hp.

Can I get a small garden tractor/lawn mower muffler and weld it on to the end of my dump tube? I'm worried it would be too restrictive.

Thanks for your help and time,
dk

Any suggestions or comments more than welcome.

You can route it into the downpipe and you wont lose power if you do it right as Dr Latino said. Just do it far downstream of the turbo, and merge at a low angle.

i´ve always wanted to know, why the car is faster without the wastegate redirected to the muffler.
Somebody told me: "my car runs faster when the wastegate is not redirected" It was an eclipse gs-t.

better flow...

if youre complaining about how loud it is, i would route it into the DP. putting a muffler on it would probably restrict it worse than putting it in the DP, and it would probably still be somewhat loud. you wont lose hp if you do it right.

YOU LOSE POWER. However its not much of a difference. But if you want to have a daily driven car that does not annoy you put it into the dumptube.

I dont want to route back into the down pipe. Ive read a bunch of threads about the pros and cons.

I was just wondering If anyone had muffled there dump and hoping for some one that had tried it.

I drive this car everywere. I put 100 miles a day on it. Now that its boosted I'm getting AAA.
