Default open headers???

So I've heard a lot of different opinions on this subject. I want to hear yours. I am running a b16a with couple of bolt ons and with some head work (springs, retainers, stage 2 camshaft, cam gears) What is the better way to run your car, open headers or with straght piping? Which is stronger? and what are the consequences of running either, as in hurting my engine. What about open headers or straight piping on a stock b16?

..... is your car even turbo? On turbo cars with open downpipe the turbo holds backpressure on the motor.

If your talking N/A then running open downpipe wouldnt benefit, it could actually make the motor run worse since it dont have adequite back pressure.
