Default Open headers????

So I've heard a lot of different opinions on this subject. I want to hear yours. I am running a b16a with couple of bolt ons and with some head work (springs, retainers, stage 2 camshaft, cam gears) What is the better way to run your car, open headers or with straght piping? Which is stronger? and what are the consequences of running either, as in hurting my engine. What about open headers or straight piping on a stock b16?

i have a B16a2 in my eg. i was running open header for a little while until i got my exhaust done. it feels faster with the exhaust on. the motor is basically stock. no internal work done. just bolt ons.

and how would you bend valves? only way to bend valves is to have them hit the pistons.

I'd be more worried about the hot exhaust gas hitting the oil pan and everything in the engine bay

Aside from the obnoxious noise, the carbon monoxide poisoning risk from fumes coming into the cabin, the hot gasses that melt everything on their way... naah...
