Default Open downpipe or full exhaust???

Like it says, i was thinking of taking out my cat for the track tommorow. I asked and they allow it... Im currently running a z6 single cam w/ the edelbrock turbo kit and 2.5 piping into an ES Racing oval muffler...Will i gain any tiny bit of power if i run the exhaust straight out the dp???

Thanks!!!

I think you should pick up about another 15hp. If you ran straight out the DP.

i'm running a half-half....i'm building a little bit onto the downpipe. I"m putting a resonator and a stubbed piece of straight pipe so that its not soooo loud in the inside of my car....you could always try that

Timing maps from a stock, chambered muffler, a straight through can, and open DP were massively different for me. Don't change that if you can't tune it. woopsie I meant

yea i made one pass with out the exhaust on the dyno and put it right back on. i was making a hair over 600whp on a t3 35r so i figured it wasnt worth my time or effort to tune it to try to gain back the power i lost, so i just put the exhaust right back on haha

Thanks for the suggestions. I wanted to take my cat out cause my top-end doesnt feel like its making as much power as in the bottom-end. Like top of 3rd gear feels like im losing power....or it could just be me...lol...
