Default Is it okay to run a -3 feed line?

I've got a greddy kit and i'm going to be moving the T that's directly onto the block by using a short length of hose.. I was thinking about using -3 hose to restrict the oil flow and reduce pressures exerted on the turbo's seals. Would this be alright or should i just stick to -4? I have an oil pressure gauge that will be going after the length of -3 hose so i can tell what pressure are going through there.
I'd basically have 1 foot of -3 line that would go to a couple T's, and then after that would be a -4 feed line to the turbo (I assume -4 is what the greddy kit comes with)

thanks

Most turbo kits run -3 from block to turbo.

-3 line will supply the oil at higher pressure than a -4 line.

Same volume, smaller area = more pressure

That would be true if it was flow regulated, but since the pressure at the feed remains more or less constant, reducing the area actually reduces the flow in the line. This in turn reduces the flow at the outlet of the feed line and the resulting pressure at the seals of the turbo.
