8-10 should be cool. 5psi isnt even enough to overcome the losses provided by the turbo kit.

all in all...its all in the tuning. dont take out any timing at that boost level. if you do only take a smidge.. btm not required. i recomend a zdyne or similar computer. fmu = nothin but trouble. also dont expect to be real enthused with the results..never seen an H that liked boost.

I think that is completely false. I am boosting 5-6 psi and it make SOOOO much difference, it's not even funny man. the car pulls so much more that it's scared some of my friends

you are right. but if you have a t66 on a sohc 6 psi will not do ****. but 6psi on a v8 will work just fine.

Ummmm K, Zdyne only works for OBD-0 cars.....show me an OBD-0 H23. You'll more likely want to go with a Hondata for your tuning needs. Correct H-series aren't known for thier boost friendly nature, especially with those sleeves. Not saying you can't boost on one, you just have to be careful with it. 6~8 PSI tuned WILLl give you some impressive gains on a 2.2L or 2.3L. Most people i've talked to say that H engines like N20 though.

i built the motor and add a big turbo t3/t04e 60 trim

i was afraid to run that much boost with a stock engine with that big turbo so i built it before i put that turbo on

I'm not going to sit here and act like I know everything.....But 10psi on a stock h23a1 is not the smartest thing in the world to do...Yes, it is possible but the question you need to answer is "how reliable do you want your setup to be?" Cause if you don't care about your motor or how long it lasts then by all means boost the 10 psi or more and within 2 months you'll have a blown motor. Maybe you'll be the lucky ones but is it worth it? I'm not boosted yet but I have an h23a1 and have done some research on them between other websites and 2 other message boards..And by the way, I've been in a boosted ITR with 5-6 psi and you can feel the difference. It was a t3/t4b turbo..

i agree with this guy, 10 lbs on a stock motor is pushing it. you might wanna think about some fuel, ignition, fuel management system upgrade before you turn up the boost!

lee, dont boost anymore then 8psi on regular fuel. if you run race gas you can run 9 or 10 but thats pushing it on a stock fuel system. remember, the h23a pistons ringlands give out quite easy, you will be happy boosting 8psi safely... trust me, 1 or 2 psi is not going to make a day and night difference unless you have other upgraded things to allow you to boost more. By the way, you should have your kit in the next week or so. if you got any more questions, ask me.

i ran 15psi for about 8 months i had MSD 6t,blaster 2 coil ,accel wires , stock style spark plugs no colder .44gap, s-afc,440cc,fmu 5:1 rise rate ,inline fuel pump and ecu reprogramed shifting at 7800rpms with MSD timing computer it start retarding timing at 5500rpms

never did dyno it but i should have been make right over 300whp at 15psi

I blew my engine in about a month running 7psi daily and occasionally 10 on my h23. This was with a tuned hondata too.

I took upwards of 30psi to blow my ring landings on my b18c1, the rods, sleeves, everything else was fine..this was not on purpose, its called a boost spike! anyways, its all about the b-series baby!! Besides that point 7 psi daily should be fine with what the drag kit provides..
