Just out of curiosity, how much has this cuztom setup costed you? Im debating whether to go custom or buy a kit. Im leaning towards a custom kit since ill get the best parts (well what I think is best). However, I just dont know what all to get. How long has it taken you to piece everything together? Thanks

the setup has cost me about $2600ish including everything needed to do the install. It took me about 3 months to put it all together but that's really because of my budget (19yr old college student) and that was kidna the reason i went custom... so i could do it piece by piece without a large one time investment. I did a lot of research here on h-t and from turbo friends to know what all to get for the kit. Deciding whether to piece together or buy a kit all depends on ur circumstances. I say if you just want something for the street that will work at lower boost levels (6-8psi), buying a kit should be fine. If you want something that will be able to make power and safely, etc and u know what ur doing, i'd go with piecing together a kit so u can pick the components u know will support ur goals. OR if ur like me and work on a budget u can also piece it together (for even less than i did) and have more flexibility. Also if ur pieceing together and u don't know much u end up learning alot about the components. Hope that helps. dunno if u were a newbie or just wondering whether to go custom or kit . good luck
