You might want a little more room in there. If there is enough room to clock the turbo a little you have more room inbetween thoes pipes, you might want to do so

it will work, but its not the best performance wise... the heat from the dp is gonna heat that charge pipe up, which in turn heats up the presurized air, so ultimately, you iat's are gonna be higher.

you could heat wrap both the dp and charge pipe, that would help out tremendously

heat wrap would be a great solution if you are not able to make any more room between the two pipes

yeah the charge pipe is already up against the bottom radiator support which i already cut and moved forward . Now honestly How much differance do you think this IC will make vs the heat? Im thinking i could change the intake charge to the other side maybe but the charge pipe will be very long.

thats how my setup looks pretty much. I used heat wrap on both the Charge pipe and the DP (like some1 already stated) Gotta do what ya gotta do...

another solution that would help is to make the charge pipe aluminum so it doesnt hold in as much heat as the stainless..then wrap the downpipe....

aluminum may not HOLD as much heat, but heat penetrates in faster than steel.

just heat wrap it bro, heel you can grab the downpipe with your hand when its been running for an hour.........................it works

Any recommendations on a good qualtiy heat wrap??

Possibly something that doesn't get all discolored and nasty looking after a few months.

Well it does and it doesnt, It fits since i made some modifications, the reason i did not show it on here is because i get tired of being flamed and my questions end up not getting answered since i have an aftermarket body kit. And im doing a headlight conversion that is Top Secret.

But thxs for the replies and as 2000 aked what brand heat wrap would you suggest?

That's what the intercooler is for. And looking at the size of his FMIC, he's got it covered.

Watch out for heat wrap, it retains moisture and can contribute to the acceleration of rust (especially on mild steel piping or on your welds).

looks like it would have been a lot easier to have the turbo oriented the other way, then the dp and charge pipes wouldnt have to go around each other

I have my setup just like that. I ran my car for a while and then touched the IC piping right off the turbo and it wasn't really hot. I am going to heat wrap it but it's like it is for the time being. I'm also going to use rustoleum paint before I wrap it.

DEI makes great wrap that comes in white and black. There is also a silicone spray that you can get from DEI (U can buy it seperately or it comes in a kit) that sprays over the wrap to keep out moisture and not look so shittty over time.

Dude at DEI told me the black spray makes the black wrap an even darker black is it kinda looks grey to me.

egay sells it by the roll around $40 for 50 feet.

I said that wrong sorry. I'm gonna paint the IC piping from the outlet to the TB rustoleum flat black and the rest is getting wrapped.

I'm not at work right now, the pix are on my work comp but 50 ft Barley completely covered my 3" full race downpipe. Of course skipping the flex pipe section.

It comes in different widths, mine was only 1". 2" width would cover more area.
