ok ive got a 89 hatch back
im almost done with my turbo. im draging out the car. so im going to be running alot of boost. about 22, if my built motor will hold it. its got a b18. but my question is ive going to run a home made kit to put psi on my wastegate to stop it from open at 14psi, (ive got the 1bar spring in the tail gate) now the kit is going to bring my psi up to 22, but im having a probley finding a fuel controller that will read the boost and not run the car to lean. but really dont feel like re doing the motor again. if any info thanks i can use it right now.

fuel controller?
care to elaborate?
if you arent doing anything with timing your built motor will not last that long at that boost level.

the motor is built. ive got a s200 i dont know much about the hondata and standalones at that mater. all i really need to know is if i run the low boost and then jump to a higher boost once i get out of first, and there a controller to read everything and not lean the motor out or can the s200 do it.?????

once you get tuned your car will be tuned for every psi up to your max (22)
if your wanting to run a lower boost level in a lower gear to help with traction look into gear based boost controllers
you won't need to adjust fuel for a lower psi because you will be tuned for it... got it?
I'm still learning myself and am not knowledgeable with the s200 system and if it has that capability or not.
i will be running crome and an apexi avc-r to do gear based boost
someone else chime in!!!
can s200 do gear based boost control???
i don't think it can... but i might be wrong

ok, ur gonna bring ur car with NO check engine lights and no leaks or anything to a good tuner.
Then ur gonna put it on a dyno and tune it for the max psi and power u will run.
From there u can turn the boost down becuase anything UNDER ur MAX TUNED psi setting will be under tuned boost levels.Hard for me to put in words.
If u want different power settings in different gears u will need a good boost controler.

make sure everything that GOING to be on the car, is on the car before it gets tuned.
like if needs an alternater or new battery, and boost controlers, and whatever else ur little heart desires.

huh a gear based boost controllers i never heard of that ill look in to that. but what ur say is that if it getts tuned at the high boost if i run the boost at low boost in 1st, then go to 2nd ill be fine. i wouldnt run to rich in 1st and would be fine in the other gears.

I'm kinda confused here. You ask about a fuel controller, mention you have S200, then go on about boost control.
S200 will support whatever PSI you toss at it, assuming your MAP sensor supports it. Stock is 1.75bar, meaning it reads ~11psi max. You'll want a *minimum* 2.5bar for 22psi, but a 3bar would be best. A GM sensor would work fine for ~$50-75.
For boost control, there are a few like Apexi that you can 'train' to do gear-based boost. There's a thread about setting it up. Depending on the turbo, 14psi may be too much for 1st. Generally they say to use a WG spring no more than 10psi lower than the max boost you want to run.
