Oil Temperatur In Turbo GSR?
What should the oil temperature be around in a turbo GSR? just cruising, after a run, etc? Where temp should it not be at? basically what is the ideal temp?

It varies......
I run an external oil cooler, 20W-50 oil, I live in hot *** florida.
I see temps between 180-215 F mostly just cruising. Depends on temp outside.

When boosting a lot or even if I was out of boost but doing 90mph on the interstate I would see it get up to 110 - 115 celcius which is about 230-240F. This was without an oil cooler. If I would come to a stop and let the car idle it would go back down to about 100C at best. I'm definantly looking for a oil cooler setup.

I might see a max of 220F when running continuous 1/4 mile runs on my car.
Typically around town, I'm at around 190-210 once fully warmed up.
If you are exceeding 230F, you probably want to switch to synthetic oil, which is generally good up to 270F (you should never exceed that for sure)

Re: (Mr. Helsinki)
I can't comment on the oil itself, but honda motors will typically run much higher oil temps than more conventional motors. I recall another topic like this, and one guy said he'd get up to 245F on the track, and never had issues with the motor. He more than likely changed his oil very often.
Based on the advancements of today's oil, I would worry more about loosing oil pressure from a cooler than from loosing protection from heat - as long as you don't wait too long to change your oil.

That's right in line with my temps. I'm assuming you are taking the temp in the pan?
