Default Oil Temp Sender...any ideas?

I'm considering an Omori oil temperature gauge, but I'm trying to decide where to mount the sender. I'm thinking maybe inline with the oil feed line somehow. Any ideas or suggestions?

Yeah i was either going to do the same, or get some sort of oil filter sandwich adapter with spots for temp and/or pressure senders (such as the ones at the bottom of this page: http://www.greddy.com/products/oilcoolerkit_frame.htm ).

IMHO I would prefer to read temp of the oil inside the pan. Best to get a 1/4" NPT bung brazed onto pan near drain plug.

BTW don't try getting a B&M tranny drain plug kit and drill hole in side of oil pan. You cant get around baffles to get nut on inside of oil pan.

I tried, Oil pan at weld shop.
